Barbara was my dance teacher when the school then the Bronx Academy of Dance was on Burnside Ave . Later the school moved to the Grand Concourse and changed its name to the Bronx Dance Theatre. I auditioned and was accepted to the High School of Performing Arts thanks to Barbara's grueling rehearsals. I have often thought of her over the years and am grateful to have known her.
