Bronx Dance Theatre presented its 2011 recital,
“Flipping Channels” on Sundays June 12 and 19 at Lehman HS.

This year’s recital was a tribute to TV channels and programming.  From Angelina Ballerina at PBS,  Blue’s Clues at Nick Jr, Lady GaGa Music Takeover at MTV, Glee at Fox and a visit to Marrakesh with the Travel Channel. All of the dance techniques taught at BDT were showcased including, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Belly Dance, Flamenco and West African.

 Over 300 young dancers ages 3 thru 21, performed in a professional production that included over 1000 costumes, props, scenery and more! 
 
Backdrops Beautiful  helped us design a theatrical backdrop specifically for our surfing channels theme! It was a wonderful experience and the result was a vibrant backdrop that added depth and dimension to our production.

The performances were a tremendous success! Both days were sold out and over 1600 people attended.
